For charge point operators, roaming networks and fleets

Custom CSMS development for your EV charging business

A CSMS is the software that runs your EV chargers. Tell us how you want yours to work, and we build it: your brand, your payment provider, your driver app and the tools your team already uses.

You don't start from zero. Every project is built on Savekar, a platform already running live chargers.

Delivery models

Build in-house, buy off the shelf, or build on Savekar

Three ways to own a charging platform. They differ in starting point, control, and who carries the ongoing engineering.

Build in-house

Starting point
A greenfield codebase
Brand and workflows
Fully custom
Protocol and roaming upkeep
Your engineering team
Time to first live charger
Longest: every component is built first

Off-the-shelf SaaS

Starting point
A packaged product
Brand and workflows
Limited to the product's model
Protocol and roaming upkeep
The vendor
Time to first live charger
Short, if the product fits as-is

Custom CSMS on Savekar

Starting point
A production platform, extended for you
Brand and workflows
Configured and extended to your model
Protocol and roaming upkeep
Savekar
Time to first live charger
Short for existing capabilities; scoped timeline for new work

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Scope, delivery, compatibility and commercials.

What is a CSMS?

A charging station management system: the software that connects to your EV chargers and runs monitoring, pricing, driver payments and reporting. Savekar is a CSMS; a custom CSMS is Savekar extended around your business.

Is a CSMS the same as a CPMS?

Yes. CPMS (charge point management system) is the term used with OCPP 1.6; CSMS is the term OCPP 2.0.1 uses. Both describe the same software.

Do I need to understand APIs, OCPP or OCPI?

No. Describe the outcome you need; our team handles the technical design and explains any trade-offs in plain language.

Do you already have a driver mobile app?

Not as a ready-made product. A branded iOS or Android app is built and scoped per project. Today, drivers start sessions from WhatsApp, with RFID cards or through partner charging apps.

Can you connect our payment provider?

Tell us your provider, such as Stripe, Adyen, PayPal or a local gateway, and the payment methods you need. We confirm availability in your country and the integration effort, and include it in the scope before work begins.

Can you build it for my country?

Yes. The platform is not tied to one market. During scoping we confirm your payment provider, currency and local requirements, and state clearly what is available and what will be built.

What does custom CSMS development cost?

Each project is quoted after discovery, because cost depends on how much runs on the platform today and how much is new. Starting from a production platform puts the budget into what differentiates you.

How long does a custom CSMS take?

It depends on scope. Existing capabilities are configured first; new components get their own timeline in the proposal, agreed before you commit.

Will it work with the chargers I have?

Yes, if they support OCPP 1.6J, regardless of brand. We confirm your exact models during scoping.
