Housing societies & communities
EV charging for your society, paid straight to the society
Residents charge at their own parking, pay by UPI on WhatsApp, and the money lands in the society's bank account. Nobody on the committee has to read a meter or chase a payment.
- No app for residents
- Paid to the society's bank
- Own or rent the chargers
Why societies choose it
Residents are buying EVs. The society needs a fair way to charge them
Once a few residents own an EV, the committee is asked the same questions. Who pays for the electricity? Will it overload the building? Who is going to manage it? Without a clear answer, requests get refused or residents run cables from their flats.
Savekar gives the society a shared charging setup that looks after itself. Each resident pays for exactly what they use, the payment goes to the society's own bank account, and the system keeps the charging load within what the building can supply.
Everyone pays for their own charging
Residents pay per session by UPI. No shared bill to split and no cross-subsidy from residents who do not own an EV.
The building's supply is protected
Load management shares the available power between chargers, so the main supply does not trip.
No lock-in for the society
There is no long-term contract. The society can start with one charger and add more as residents ask.
The usual way
Charging the committee has to run
- A shared meter and an argument over who used what
- A committee member collecting payments by hand
- Worry about overloading the building's connection
- An app every resident and visitor has to install
With Savekar
Charging that looks after itself
- Each resident pays for their own session by UPI
- Money goes directly to the society's bank account
- Load is managed so the supply does not trip
- Residents scan a QR code and charge in WhatsApp
How a resident charges
Built for India: no app downloads and no wallet. A resident, or a visitor, needs only WhatsApp and UPI.
- 01
Scan the QR on the charger
It opens a WhatsApp chat. There is no app to download.
- 02
Pay by UPI
The resident pays directly on WhatsApp with any UPI app.
- 03
Get live updates
Real-time charging updates arrive in the same chat.
- 04
Automatic refund
If a session ends early, the unused amount is refunded automatically.
For the society
What the society gets with Savekar
The committee sets the price and sees everything. The day-to-day running, from payments to fault alerts, is handled by the platform.
100% revenue ownership
The society has complete control of pricing and keeps all the charging revenue. Savekar takes no cut of a session.
Real-time monitoring and reporting
See every charger and session as it happens, with reports the committee can share with residents.
An AI assistant on WhatsApp
Operations are backed by our AI-driven WhatsApp service chatbot, so residents get help without calling the committee.
Control over who can charge
User management lets the society decide who uses the chargers, residents and visitors alike.
Dynamic load management
Power is shared between chargers so several cars can charge without overloading the building.
Own the chargers or rent them
Buy the hardware upfront, or pay one simple yearly fee that covers the charger and the software.
Choose the charger, then own it or rent it
Rental covers the charger and the software together. If the society owns its chargers, it pays for the software alone. Ask us for a quote for either.
3.3 kW charger

22 kW fast charger
For 4-wheelers that need a full charge in 1–2 hours.
- Ideal for 4-wheelers
- Good for shared visitor bays
- Needs three-phase supply
Every size is available to buy or to rent. Rental includes the hardware and the software.
Getting started
From committee decision to first charge
We work with the committee from the first conversation, so the decision is easy to explain to residents.
How we set up your society
- 1
Tell us about the society
The number of parking bays, how many residents own EVs today and the building's sanctioned load.
- 2
Choose chargers, and own or rent
We suggest the charger size that fits your load, and you choose to buy the hardware or take the yearly rental.
- 3
We install and connect
The chargers are connected to the platform, with the society's bank account and price set up.
- 4
Residents start charging
Each charger gets its QR code. Residents scan, pay and charge on WhatsApp from the first day.
What it costs
Pricing is given on request, whether the society rents chargers with the software or owns its chargers and pays for the software alone. There is no setup fee and no lock-in period.
Compare plansQuestions committees ask us
Who pays for the electricity residents use?
Each resident pays for their own session by UPI, at the per-unit price the society sets. The money goes straight to the society's bank account, so every charge covers its own electricity.
Will charging overload our building's connection?
Load management shares the available power between chargers so the main supply does not trip. 3.3 kW and 7.4 kW chargers run on single phase; a 22 kW charger needs three-phase.
Do residents need to install an app?
No. They scan the QR code on the charger, WhatsApp opens, and they pay by UPI. There is no app to download and no wallet to load.
Should the society buy the chargers or rent them?
Both work the same way for residents. The only difference is whether the society pays for the hardware upfront or pays one yearly fee that covers the charger and the software.
Is there a lock-in period?
No. There is no long-term contract, and the society can start with one charger and add more later.
